I’m a French self-taught drawing artist based in Bremen, Germany.

My path to drawing was a long and curvy one. Ever since my teenage years, I hoped to capture the beauty and complexity of life; at first, I tried through poetry and photography and then slowly but steadily through drawing and painting.It was only when I reached my 30s, after several years of work for NGOs, travelling and living in mythical towns such as Kathmandu and Kolkata, that I finally realised : my crave for escape was not to be found ‘elsewhere’ but ‘right here’, with a pen in hand over a white sheet of paper.

I’m still not quite sure if I found drawing or drawing found me.

Today, I mainly compose new and imaginary worlds or shapes, sometimes organic, sometimes geometric, but often hypnotic. They are unveiled through a slow process of composition: unpredictable living watercolor stains and organised geometrical fineline structures are combined, woven together in an endless pursuit of balance. This search for balance finds itself in my obsession for circles. Circles are the iconic symbol for permanence, perfection and unity of the opposites and often an element if not the very heart of my creations.

Simulteanously to developing my own artistic voice, I completed a study in textile design in 2019, as art ist not just meant to be hung on walls! It leads me to explore the vegetal and floral world and it’s just beginning.

Je suis une artiste-dessintatrice autodidacte française, basée à Brême en Allemagne.

Mon chemin vers le dessin a été long et sinueux. Depuis mon adolescence, j’ai toujours rêvé de pouvoir capturer la beauté et la complexité de la vie; au début, par la poésie et la photographie et puis doucement mais sûrement par le dessin et la peinture. C’est seulement en passant la trentaine, après avoir travaillé  plusieurs années pour des ONG, voyagé et vécu dans des villes mythiques comme Katmandou et Calcutta, que j’ai compris: ma recherche d’évasion ne se trouvait pas ‘ailleurs’ mais bien ‘ici’, avec un crayon en main face à une feuille blanche.

Encore maintenant je ne sais toujours pas si j’ai trouvé le dessin ou si c’est lui qui m’a trouvée.

Aujourd’hui, je crée principalement des mondes et formes imaginaires, parfois organiques, parfois géométriques, le plus souvent hypnotiques. Ces mondes se dévoilent lors d’un lent processus de composition: des tâches vivantes et imprévisibles d’aquarelle et de fines lignes et structures géométriques et organisées s’associent, construites ensemble dans une recherche constante d’équilibre. Une recherche qui se retrouve dans mon obsession pour les cercles. Ils sont le symbole par excellence de la permanence, la perfection et l’union des contraires et sont souvent un élément si non le coeur de mes créations. 

Tout en cherchant ma propre voix artistique, j’ai achevé en 2019 des études en Design Textile, car l’art de devrait pas seulement être accroché aux murs! Ces études m’ont ouverte aux mondes végétal et floral que je commence seulement à explorer.
